Normally, journalists aren’t allowed to accept gifts or free stuff (stupid ethics) but there’s nothing written that journalists can’t accept free stuff from other journalists.
I totally got hooked up from a fellow journalist – Gregan Wingert, a reporter for the Las Vegas Sun. She sent me a sweet iPhone Phantom Case that she got from a friend who attended this year’s CES. This thing is like a tank for your iphone. Pretty sure I could throw my phone from a moving car and it would survive (though I’m not going to find out).
