Journalists have a hate/love relationship with Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg.
From Facebook's fake news problem to its denial of being a publisher, journalists have plenty of reasons to be weary of the social media site.
But Zuckerberg extended a bit of an olive branch to journalists in his latest post.
In his post from Alabama (Zuckerberg plans to visit every state in 2017), Zuckerberg stopped at local newspapers and applauded the work journalists were doing on President's Day.
"It seems like a good time to say thank you to all the journalists around the world who work tirelessly and sometimes put their lives in danger to surface the truth," Zuckerberg wrote. "I don't always agree with everything you say, but that's how democracy is supposed to work. I know I join many people in America and across the world in thanking you for your work."
Of course, Zuckerberg's post comes days after President Donald Trump has labeled the media an enemy of the American people.
